Each piece begins with a meditation on the impermanent nature of thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and sounds before the ink touches the paper. Smaller pieces are created in one session, while larger ones unfold over a series of days or weeks. This series shows a spectrum of responses to change, from holding on to what's passing or pushing away what's arising, to witnessing change as it is. In impermanence, I find a teacher of letting go. It reveals the illusion that I'm in control, when in reality there are forces at work beyond me.
