My work explores the many layers and subtleties of bodily sensations and thoughts that arise in everyday experience. Themes of impermanence, non-attachment, and acceptance emerge throughout the work, inspired by my meditation practice and my process of surrendering and letting things be.

It reflects both the exploration of my internal states as well as the interconnectedness of the natural world. The drawings evoke different views like a cell under a microscope, or a zoomed-out aerial landscape. It is a reminder that my experiences are not mine alone, but are instead profoundly connected to everything else.

Each piece is a snapshot of what’s happening in my mind and body as I make it. This could be observing the physical form contracting or opening in response to an unpleasant or pleasant thought, watching emotions and mental activity constantly change, or experiencing relief as attachment to a thought or sensation fades. Each mark depicts my experience in that moment and every smudge, bleed, or crooked line is intentional, whether it's coming from my conscious or unconscious mind. If I’m feeling irritated or open that day, it naturally impacts the quality of the line and how it builds upon itself. The composition takes shape from a series of choices made in each moment.

Through this process, the work becomes a reflection of presence itself—a record of noticing, surrendering, and allowing. I invite all viewers to witness their own subtle rhythms of mind and body as they engage with my work.
